Keeshond Lovers United (KLU)is an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, foster care and placement of Keeshonden, and, occasionally other breeds in the Midwest.  These dogs and puppies come from area shelters, owner turn-ins, puppy mills and abusive situations.

Each dog is placed into a foster home and is evaluated for health, temperament and personality.  All dogs are spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary and brought up-to-date on all shots.  Then, each lucky dog goes to its forever home after references and home visits are complete.
