Hi, my name is Callie!!   I came into rescue from a puppymill with a whole bunch of other dogs.  I am so happy to be here!  I do not have to produce anymore puppies and I am getting healthy.  Most of us tested positive for erhlichiosis.  Fortunately, it is easily treated - and I have been!!  I have also had the necessary vaccines and am now on a heartworm preventative.  Now that I am eating good food and have a nice place to hang out, even my coat is starting to get pretty again.  My tail will once again have a plume!! I will need to go to a home where they understand puppymill girls like me.  It will take time for me to learn to trust and be carefree, but with the right environment and a patient family, I know I can do it.  I was born about 12-17-06 and only weigh 27 lbs.  I need a home that has another dog to help me with my confidence level and to show me the ropes of being in a new place.  Children will make me very nervous, so that's not a good idea.  A quieter home would be better. Please get in touch soon if you have a place for me in your home and your life.  I am trying really, really hard to learn how to be a "normal" dog.  It will take a long time, but I am willing to try it if you are!
