II am a 6 year old petite little girl at just 25 lbs. Don't be fooled by the tiny package though - I am full of the typical female keesie attitude!! I have spent the past 6 years as the apple of my mom's eye. Yes, I will admit that she spoiled me and we had a wonderful life together. Mom has not had an easy time of it the last few years, which is how I came to be in rescue. You see, she was diagnosed with cancer a number of years ago and had successfully battled with it twice. The third time got the best of her though. After attempting all of the recommended treaments without success, she made the decision to stop the battle. Knowing that her time was ending soon, Mom contacted Keeshond Lovers rescue and asked if they could find room and eventually a great home for me. Arrangements were made and Mom and I drove to meet my foster family later that very week. Mom was smiling and crying all at the same time. I hated to see her go and I cried for several days. I know she did the right thing for my sake, but it took me a while to adjust to not having her in my life. I hope someday to see her at the Rainbow Bridge. In the meantime, I still have life to live and I am confident there is someone out there that I will grow to love and trust as much as Mom. I will be waiting right here.
