Hi, My name is Eva!
I have to tell you, I was having a horrible holiday season. I was
on the run and scooped up by animal control on Christmas Eve. The
motel they took me to was full of barking dogs and screaming
kitties. When I say full, I mean they told me I had 5 days to
find a home and get out of there - or else! In fact, my name was
already appearing on some list they kept talking about. But
obviously, by the mere fact we are having this conversation, you know
there's an happier ending to my story so far.
On my "or else" day" a shelter volunteer loaded me in her truck and
said we were taking a road trip. After several hours, I was moved
to a van and some more riding. Now I am in a foster home with
other dogs that are the same as me, well, except for my hair
loss. They have beautiful coats and I want one just like
them. Foster mom said we would work on that and the first step is
a good diet. We also saw the vet to see what she thought.
She said I am about 8 years old. I'm going to have some blood
tests to see what they have to say about my health and maybe why my
coat and skin look so bad. I'm up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm
negative, and spayed.
While I am here working on getting my health and hair back, you could
be sending in your application to adopt me. You see, I am very
sweet, crate-trained and house-broken. I love to be pet and
promise to be your very best friend. Check back often for updates
on my progress! I'm very optimistic about this being my very
