| Hi, I'm Lester! I'm a very happy boy considering
I went through a hurricane! My family lived in the area hit by
Katrina and had no way of keeping me. They turned me into the
shelter and I found my way to Kansas. It's been a stressful time
since the hurricane - I've been in more shelters for more months than I
can count! It's so nice to finally be in a home and have a family
to love, even if it is a foster home. They treat me just like I
was one of theirs!
As you might imagine, I'm a
little perplexed by everything that has gone on lately, but foster mom
says I'm doing an amazing job of adjusting. Sometimes I bark at
new things, but they've figured out it's just 'cuz I'm nervous about
what might happen next. I find the safer I start to feel, the
less I need to bark at these new things.
I love people!! I
especially like to lick them when they lean down to my level! I'm
all up-to-date on my vaccines, heartworm negative, and neutered.
I'm crate-trained and house-trained. So as you can see, I'm ready
to go! Please contact us soon. I have to share the people
here with 5 other dogs and I would really like more attention than
that! I'm estimated to be 4-5 years old so I have lots of time to
