| Hi, My name is Lucia! I am not exactly sure what the economy is, but it seems to be the reason I am in rescue. My previous owner lost her job and moved away - I am still not sure why I could not go with her. Because I am basically a happy girl, I am adjusting to my foster home just fine! I like the other dogs and they are showing me the ropes. The other dogs that look like me are smaller and lighter in color, but I don't hold that against them (although I'm still trying to figure out the deal with that smash-faced dog they call a Pug). My foster mom says I have earned my freedom from being crated at night, so I sleep on the floor in the bedroom where I can be close to everyone. There are already too many dogs on the bed or I would be up there! Hmmph! Before coming to my foster home, I had never seen cats up close and these cats don't act like the ones I've seen outside. They don't run when I try to chase them, and they have pins in their toes! I have decided to pretend that they are just little dogs. Although I am nearly 8 years old, I am a very active dog. Ever since I jumped up over the arm of the couch, my foster mom has been threatening to teach me agility. Although I have no idea what she is talking about, I'm willing to give it a try! But if you just want to play and take me for long walks, that would be great, too. Lucia is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative, microchipped and in excellent health overall. She is housebroken, has good house manners, and is crate trained. Like most Keeshonden, she is a confirmed counter surfer and tends to be a talker. Because she is a bit skittish in new situations and with new people, a home without small children would be best.
