Hi, My name is Lucky! <>Lucky was found on September 11, 2007 wandering the country-side.  He was <>emaciated and nearly at death's door.  A caring couple found him and took <>him to their vet.  He was vaccinated and found to be heartworm positive. <>The vet couldn't believe this little dog still had so much personality!.<> The couple contacted rescue and Lucky went into foster care.  By the<> first of December, Lucky had gained nearly 10 lbs.,  successfully completed<> his heartworm treatment, been neutered and had a  dental with nearly a<> dozen teeth removed due to all the infections.  That sounds like a lot for<> one little dog to handle, but today he feels so much better for having gone<> through all of the treatments and is a very happy indoor dog.<> Keeshonden like Lucky are, thankfully, very rare.  But it is so wonderful to <>have the support to be able to help a great little guy like this when<>one comes along.  Lucky has a home to go to as soon as we know he is fully recovered.  He will never be starved again!
