| Hi, My name is Skip! Actually, Skip was the name given to me by the shelter when I was picked up as a stray. My foster mom thinks it's funny because I am really a very calm guy and just love to hang out with my people. They are guessing me to be in the 4 to 5 year old range, but since I can't count I'm not able to tell them for sure. Yesterday I got some bad news - I am heartworm positive and today I am going back to see the vet and determine my course of treatment. Many dogs like me go through this treatment and experience no after-effects, but it is a serious thing. Foster mom was so disappointed that I would have to do this. I am up to date on all my vaccines, neutered and microchipped, housebroken and crate-trained. Now if I just didn't have these worms!! But my treatment will be over and done with in no time (I am a very positive guy too!) and I will be ready for my forever home. I ride in the car well too so if you are thinking about taking some car trips, please get in touch and we can make plans for later this summer!
