| Hi, My name is Smokey Joe!
Smokey Joe is a neutered, 11 month old male who was abandoned by his owners when he was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. Rather than trying to help him, the owners were planning on euthanizing him. The vet’s office took ownership and contacted KLU for assistance that includes paying for two hip surgeries. He has successfully undergone the first surgery and awaits the second surgery. Smokey Joe certainly deserves a chance at life. He is very sweet and affectionate. He will follow you throughout the house and will gladly sit on your lap if you allow him. He loves to play with stuffed toys and will play fetch. He listens and obeys very well. He has been trusted off leash and likes to go for walks and rides in the car. He is also content to lay by your feet. Smokey Joe has done great with other dogs and cats. While he hasn’t been around young kids much, there is no reason to believe he will have any problems with them. All he wants and needs is a furever home to adore him. Is that your home?
