Hi, my name is Sweety!
She had goopy eyes that we began treating right away and already look better. She has scabs over a large portion of her back from the horrible flea infestation she probably had for a while. She has grade 4 periodontal disease which will require a dental with several extractions. She has a severe inguinal hernia with intestinal involvement that will be corrected surgically tomorrow as it is her most life threatening condition. While she is under, they will flush her infected ears so we can begin treating them. And did I mention . . .she had a light positive for heartworms. Fortunately, her heart sounded clear and strong. They will do x-rays to stage the heartworms before doing the surgery, but she does not have options. This sweet little girl has been sleeping in a crate at night without making a sound. She sat in the recliner, curled up next to Craig, watching TV last evening. She comes when you call her and puts her feet up to beg you to pet her. She is sitting next to my chair watching me type this. We will do our best for this poor little creature. Once healed, she will make someone a wonderful companion. I will post an update after her surgery.
