Hi, My name is Zappa!
My story is the
same as so many of us dogs that are in rescue or
shelters. My mom moved and couldn't take me with
her. It all turned
out for the best since I'm now eating wonderful food with
supplements
for my dry skin. Even though I liked the cat food
and puppy chow that
mom fed me, I didn't know how bad it was for
me.
I have lots of other dogs and even 2 cats to ignore now,
but what I want more
than anything else is a home of my own. Now don't
get me wrong, I love
my foster mom and all the other keesies here, but I get
kind of lost in
the shuffle. Mom asked me to describe my perfect
furever home and I
told her I wanted a mom or a dad - or maybe even both! -
who are home
most of the time. You see, I'm 14 years old, blind
in one eye, and I
know my time on this earth is limited so I want to be
spoiled rotten for
my remaining years.
I'm a healthy guy, especially for my years, and on the
small side so I
wouldn't take up much room in your home. I'll follow
you around and sit
by your side while you scratch and pet me. I'll be
your best friend
ever, so please think about adopting me. I'm
housebroken, up-to-date on
vaccines, heartworm negative and neutered. I even had my
teeth cleaned!!
Foster mom said my blood work looked better than hers and
showed no signs of
diabetes or thyroid problems. If I have any
complaints, it's just that I'm
a little stiff when it's cold or I've laid in one spot for
a while.
Currently I don't take any medications, but foster mom
said she might get me
something for the stiffness. I never knew you could
do that.
Oh, and mom says there is something called the Gidget Fund
that will
help my new family with vet bills if they need
assistance. Please,
please, please let me come live with you!!
