The 8th Annual Keeshond Lovers United, Inc AUCTION

First and foremost, 100% of the money raised from this auction will go to Keeshond rescue efforts as follows. The proceeds from this auction will be divided between KLU's general operating fund (60%) and the Gidget Fund (40%). Keeshond Lovers United (KLU) is a non-profit 501(c)3 rescue organizations serving the Midwest. KLU has shelter licenses in KS and MO.

The KLU general operating fund pays for veterinary care, medicines, grooming, training, equipment, food and supplement costs for rescued keeshonden.

KLU, like many other rescue groups, has been flooded with many keeshonden in need this year. These dogs are from shelters, commercial breeders, and owner turn-ins and come into rescue with multiple health issues, major socialization issues, and face long-term foster rehabilitation before rehoming is possible. Many of the senior rescues become permanent foster dogs because of their age and/or health issues.

KLU has had a collaborative relationship with American Eskimo Rescue in the Kansas and Missouri area for a number of years. This relationship has allowed keesies and eskies to have a chance at a new life that they may not have had otherwise.

The mission of the Gidget Fund (a division of KLU) is to provide funding for expenses related to the senior keeshond. By helping senior dogs only, the Gidget Fund does not duplicate efforts by other clubs or organizations but complements them so they can devote their funds to other areas needing assistance. So many great senior dogs are discarded each year that need assistance.

This auction will run for one week - get your bids in before the end! Please submit your first and last name when placing all bids. If you wish to be anon, we will honor your request. Put ANON in the name field.

Shipping is additional to the items, and will depend on items won. Please Contact Judy after the auction for a total of your shipping plus items. Insurance can be optional for certain items as well, so ask if you are interested in insurance on any of your items won. Shipping will be higher than listed for Canadian winners.

Senior dogs are an added blessing to our lives, and will add so much to your life.
It takes a special person to adopt an older dog. The older dogs are usually the last to be adopted. Unfortunately, some must journey to the Bridge due to lack of homes. If YOU can, add a senior dog to YOUR family. There are many needing saved, and you will truly be blessed...you haven't experienced "all the unconditional love available", until you are owned by a senior dog!!
